DESCRIPTION:

Black pepper is also called the King of Spices. Black pepper is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit, which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning. In dried form, the fruit is often referred to as peppercorns. Peppercorns, and the powdered pepper derived from grinding them, may be described as black pepper, white pepper, red/pink pepper, and green pepper, etc.

USES:

Black Pepper is used in certain tonic and rubefacient preparations and also used as flavor ingredient in most major food products including non alcoholic beverages, candies, baked foods, meat and meat products, Cheese, Condiments and relishes. Pepper is extensively used in the wintry cuisine  to impart warmth and pungency to vegetable dishes. It is used as a flavoring spice in non-vegetable preparations. Pepper incidentally is an important spice in the Indian four-spice classic 'garam masala'. Pepper corns boiled in water along with basil leaves, are said to relieve chest congestions and asthmatic condition.
